But Babysigners is much more than just a website and specialist Babysigning book publisher. Above all else, we are a teaching network set up to help parents share those early moments with their babies.

Weekly classes
We have story sacks, puppets, music and much more besides. It’s all about fun, with presenters bringing theory and theatre together in a class you and your baby will love as you explore each new adventure together. You’ll discover how you can make a visit to the park a wonderful, shared experience. For the more adventurous, there is jungle week and don’t worry, we’ll also show you signs for home and family as well as special occasions so you can share those precious times with your baby. We'll even teach you how to develop learning signs specific to your baby - a sign for a favourite toy, perhaps, or game they like to play.
The teaching approach we use is that of the leading world authority and best selling author on the subject, Dr Joseph Garcia. Not surprising really, given that Babysigners has just collaborated with Joseph to produce the first truly comprehensive guidebook to baby signing for the UK. The classes are simple, straightforward and very effective with the syllabus structure and individual lesson plans developed by leading UK baby signer Emma Finlay-Smith and early years specialist, Nia Maylin.
Babysigners have also produced their own original music with the Royal College of Music to offer mums and babies not only the old favourites but some great songs which support the signs for each themed week.
The groups are small - typically, no more than 12 people - so you can really get to know your presenter and the rest of your group too.
You'll join the Introductory Course to start with. This consists of six classes – one per week. And, after the introductory class, you might like to join the Club classes where you can continue to learn while also keeping in touch with other mums.
Extended workshops
For those parents who find that the weekly classes don’t fit their schedule, we do have an alternative. We also run half-day workshops where we can teach you the basics of baby signing in a single afternoon.
